Pastor Enoch Adejare Adeboye, born on 2nd March 1948 in Ife, Osun State, Nigeria, has been married to Foluke Adenike Adeboye since 1967 (of which the marriage is blessed with four children).
Daddy GO, as he is fondly called, started his undergraduate education in University of Nigeria Nsukka (UNN), but completed it in then University of Ife (now Obafemi Awolowo University) because of the civil war. He has gone on to acquire a Ph.D degree in Mathematics.
Daddy GO joined the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG) in 1973 where he served, as an interpreter, under Pastor Josiah Olufemi Akindayomi, the founder of RCCG.
He went on to become the general oversee of the Church in 1981, and has served to move the Church beyond borders, with thousands of branches in Nigeria and overseas.
Adeboye has stated that his aim is to “put a church within five minutes walking distance in developing cities and five minutes driving distance in developed cities.
Daddy GO is a father to many fathers, and a man of humility and deep intimacy with the LORD, whose life is a challenge to many.
